18 Months Old!

Candace is now 18 months old (actually she is almost 19 months now). I took her for her 18 month old professional pictures. She screamed the second I tried to put her down so I ended up holding her for all the pictures. I was pretty happy with all the pictures though. If you look at the full length shots you will see it looks like she is sitting on something; well that is me under those white sheets! But maybe you wouldn't have thought about it if I hadn't pointed it out!!






Another wonderful milestone has come and gone: Candace has now been with us for a longer part of her life than she was with her foster family! We brought her home when she was just over 9 months old and she is now almost 19 months old. So yeah, that was kind of a big deal to me and I knew the day that she was actually with me longer than without me!

Another bit of good news: my sister-in-law, Kim, is leaving next Monday to bring home the baby girl that she is adopting from Guatemala! Candace and Maria will be about 22 months apart and I pray they will be good friends! Pray for a safe and smooth trip for her and her husband.

Soccer

Alexcis is playing soccer this spring. I cannot believe she is old enough to play sports already. She really enjoys it and it helps get out a lot of energy! The weather has finally gotten nice enough for me and the other kids to go and watch her games. I missed her very first game because it was on a really cold evening. She looks so adorable playing!

Alexcis' team played against the team that her friend Kierra is on. The girls were so cute together.

Not much else is new around here. I have been sick yet again. Hopefully the kids will not pick it up. The school year is coming close to an end and I'm looking forward to getting outside again this summer; swimming, beach and just enjoying the outdoors with the girls and watching the two babies explore for the first time.
