Wedding

My little brother (who is not very little any more) got married this past sunday. It was a beautiful wedding. Steve was in the wedding and Candace was also in the wedding as a flower girl. she did wonderful at the rehearsal; walking down so nice and smiling but for the actual wedding i think she was a bit unsure of all the people and the church was candle lit (which was beautiful) but darker than the night before and i don't think she saw me up front. the wedding planner walked her about half way down (she kept turning to go back to her so she just walked her down) and then she spotted me and Alexcis and she came the rest of the way to us. It was cute. All three girl sat quietly and watched the wedding. I was shocked. I had my cousin on standby in case Candace started to fuss but she just sat on my lap and played with the flowers in her basket. It was a fun day. With Steve being in the wedding party i kind of felt like i was at the wedding by myself with my girls, but my sisters helped and my mother in law took Dylan during the wedding service and brought him back for the reception so that was a HUGE help... thanks again Karen! Here are only a few of the over 100 pictures i took of the day. If you have a facebook account look me up because I have a lot more pictures on there.Angie, Brandon and boys

Three posts in one day!

This is why I don't swim in the ocean. (I've also watched Jaws to often i think) I saw these pictures on one of my friends facebook pages and i couldn't resist sharing them!
First day of first grade. Hoping for a 'dog gone' good year! So cute!

first ride on the school bus.

And Brittney on her first day of preschool.

Back To School

Things have been crazy around here as we adjust to the back to school/preschool schedule. I drive Alexcis to school each morning so we all are up and out by 8am. Then Brittney has to be to preschool by 9am so i really just kill/waste time until i drop her off. Then I pick her up at 11:30 and then Alexcis comes home on the bus and we go meet her at the bus stop at 2:30pm. So my mornings have just been kind of disappearing. Alexcis also has soccor practice two nights a week and we have had so many other things going too. But I think we are getting into a good routine now. Steve is working on remodeling the fireplace. It started with me wanting to restain the mantel and then we discovered that the mantel was just a cheep piece of wood that couldn't be stained and shouldn't have been stained in the first place (that is why it looked so bad) and so we bought a new mantel and stained it but when Steve went to put it up i didn't like how it looked against the red brick, so i thought I would paint the brick; but that was a bad idea, don't do that! :o) So Steve has demoed the brick and we have NO fireplace. Steve is going to install marble around the gas insert and around the floor in front of the fireplace.

It was such a mess to remove the tile that was in front of the fireplace. Steve said we are never replacing the kitchen floor (it has the same tiles)

It is hard to tell from this picture (I wish I had a before picture) but these are real bricks which I attempted to paint white. It was awful don't try it! :o) They were very heavy; we used the kids wagon to get them out of the house load by load.
I will post pictures when it is all done!

Crazy Hair!!!!

Every now and then I like to just play with Candace's hair. Her hair is actually quite long but the curls are so tight that you don't think about it. So Sunday morning I braided her hair in pony tails. She looked in the mirror and seemed to enjoy it but I knew it would not last long.
I must point out that all these pictures were taken on the same day. Sunday for lunch Candace got sauce on the white shirt and I changed her into the purple shirt. The last two pictures were taken after she woke up from her nap. Poor girl, mommy was just laughing and laughing at her and she couldn't figure out why!

Okay, those were the cute "before nap" pictures, now for the "after nap" pictures!!

Never a dull day with these kids!

It's almost time for Eagles Football

Yup, the jerseys come out and Sunday afternoons will soon be spent watching games or checking scores. Well, i don't really watch football but the babies look cute in the clothes so I'm all for it!

We took a spontaneous trip to the NY cabin for an extended weekend. Once again we had a lot of fun. Grandpa got his own tractor so the girls really loved that.

And I don't have any pictures of it but I drove a tractor. Yup, a big green John Deere tractor. On the farm, out in a field! Wow! Okay, so the farmer put it into gear for me and then hoped off and all I had to do was steer and brake when needed but I was driving it with no one else on it. That counts for something doesn't it?! LoL

We rode so many miles on the 4-wheelers. Steve would take two kids on one 4-wheeler and I took two on another. The babies just love it.

Picking blueberries, yum, yum.

Watching grandpa out the windows of the new sun room that was just built onto the cabin.

Okay, I must admit, I don't know what this is?! Alexcis took the picture and I warned Steve I was putting it on the site. I thought his sisters might get a kick out of it!School will be starting in less than two weeks. UUgggg, I don't feel like I am ready for the morning rush to get everyone out but I am looking forward to a good schedule around here again. have a great weekend!
